Our principles
These principles are the public premise of the march. They are not negotiable.
The march does not represent any political party, organization, or interest group.
Democratic rights are exercised with respect for the law and the people around us.
Insults, threats, provocation, discrimination, and incitement to violence are rejected.
The answer to provocation is calm, dignity, and stepping away from escalation.
Each participant is responsible for their own actions and statements.
What unites us is the future of Albania.
Why we march
The march stands in solidarity with citizens calling for the protection of the public interest, nature, cultural heritage, and Albania's future.
We come from different countries, but when Albania calls, our answer is calm, united, concrete action.
Practical tips
Keep it simple: water, light food, a steady pace, and shoes you have already tested. The goal is to arrive together and in good condition.
Drink water regularly during the walk. Bring a large bottle and refill whenever possible, especially because the day will be hot.
Bring bananas, sandwiches, nuts, or an energy bar. Eat small portions about every 2 hours.
We will stop for about 5 minutes every hour. Every 2 hours, we will take a longer break of about 15 minutes.
Wear walking trainers with soft soles. Do not wear new shoes without testing them first.
The route from Rinas to the square takes many hours and is mostly on asphalt. The pace will stay calm, about 4 km/hour, so the group remains together.
Keep it light, under 3 kg if possible. A waist strap helps distribute the weight.
